We are a very open and welcoming community and we invite each child in with open arms. We help to develop and nurture their progression at each stage of their journey with us, allowing them to grow their confidence, technique and talent and become a fearless performer.
We know it can be a bit scary to join a new dance school, but here at LBA we do everything we can to make sure your child settles in quickly and happily.
We offer opportunities to take part in our yearly LBA show, other regular performance opportunities throughout the year, and to take part in exams if your child and their teacher feels confident in them doing so.
When your child arrives for their very first class with us, we ask that they come a little bit early so that we have time to introduce them to everyone and ensure they are comfortable in their environment.
If your child is joining our Petit, Midi or Grande groups, we ask that our parents/guardians leave their child to enjoy the class and pick them up at the end as it can be a bit daunting to have an audience.
We will have a quick chat with you once the class has finished to answer any questions you may have, and will be in touch again the next day once you’ve both absorbed all the excitement.
Our aim is to grow your child’s confidence and introduce them to everything that the wonderful world of dance and theatre has to offer.
All your child needs for their first class is themselves, a bottle of water and a snack if taking more than one class, some comfortable clothing they can easily move in, and a pair of soft indoor shoes. There is no requirement to have the set uniform for your trial class.
If you’ve decided that LBA is the school for you, we will have a comprehensive chat with you to better understand everything that you want to get out of your time with us and how we can help you to achieve this.
We encourage all of our students to join a variety of dance and performance styles so that they can diversify their training and find what suits them best.
New students can enrol for a free trial class here. After this, you will receive an invite with details on how to book them for the rest of the term.
